Test tubes, petri dishes and colorimetric cup are mostly made of PS plastics and those items have high concentricity requirments. As we know PS material products can easily get scratches, so it needs supreme grade polishing. Micon Mould uses mirror steel and has artificial polishing to ensure high polish and reduce the scratches.

As for medical mold(consumables), the mould dimension should be controlled in precision. For such product, we always use high speed milling machine and some other high precision tooling machine to tool it, the dimension tolerance controlled in 0.02mm.

To make a high quality medical mold(disposable), we need choose the suitable steel material for the medical mold. The common steels we apply into the medical molds are S136, NAK80, H13, with HRC 45-50. Then the molds can have a mold life from 3 million shots or running for 3-5 years continuously.

thin wall container mould maker

Thin wall container is very popular in market all over the world. (Thin wall container is generally refers to the container which wall thickness is about 0.4mm-0.6mm) .

Since the molds will be operated in high speed injection machines, shorter cycle times means higher productivity and lower costs per part. so it requires a very good cooling system and high hardness in order to ensure the short cycle and the mold life. In China, Micon Mould has rich experience in thin wall mold making. 

The following industries make use of thin wall molding:

C.mobile telecommunications (e.g. mobile phone housings)

The plastic melt material used in thin wall products have PP,PS,PE,PTE and PC etc. The trend towards thin wall molding continues to increase in many plastic industries as plastic material and energy costs continue to rise and delivery lead times are squeezed.

As to thin wall mould, the mould dimension should be controlled precision. For such product, we always use high speed milling machine and some other high precision tooling machine to tool it, the dimension tolerance should be controlled in 0.05mm.
Regarding the ejector system for thin wall container mould, we usually use air to blow first, let the container not stick to the core and then use double ejector plates drived by hydraulic cylinders to ejector the product off the mould. As the container is too thin, so we generally don��t use ejector pins, because ejector pin will easy lead to product deformation.
Cooling system is also very important to such thin wall product, just as I stated above, for such product molding, it needs high speed and high pressure. So the mould temperature will be high, it is very important to control the mould in low temperature, so we should add water channel as more as possible, and it should be near the product surface. Besides, we always adapt with BeCu to help the mould cooling, because BeCu has good thermal conductivity. Even though, the price will be much high than mould without BeCu, but the good cooling will help make the product very beautiful.
